Managing Partner, Chris Symonds, founded Coronation Wealth Management in January 2019, having previously spent 5 years as a Financial Adviser elsewhere, and a further 12+ years prior to that in various roles within the Banking Industry.

Chris has a wealth of detailed technical knowledge and really enjoys being able to use this to help simplify complex scenarios for clients.

In the beginning, Coronation Wealth started out as a very small team of just Chris and a Paraplanner to support him. It soon became apparent that the business was growing quickly and would need a bigger team to support client needs.

Chris began to build a team around him, including recruiting his wife, Marie to join him in the running of the business. Marie had previous industry experience, and with the two of them having very different, but complimentary skill-sets, the business soon became stronger.

At the end of 2019, the Coronation Wealth office opened at Leigh Court Business Centre, in Bristol’s picturesque Leigh Woods. To finish the first year in style, Coronation Wealth won the St. James's Place 2019 Business of the Year Award. 

At the end of 2021 and in early 2022, Coronation Wealth completed two new business purchases, taking on new clients whose advisers were due to retire, and we reached the milestone of having over £100m of clients’ funds on our books – a privileged responsibility.

In 2022, we also featured in the Top-Rated Advisers Guide by Vouched For and The Times.

During 2023, we adapted our business to the new Consumer Duty Regulations, which we embraced as a route to bringing us even closer to our clients.

During this time, we also supported our talented back-office team and have had two apprentices pass their courses with distinctions (in Marketing and Financial Services Administration), and various promotions, qualifications achieved, and new roles created to support team members’ chosen career paths.

Looking back on our journey, we are proud to now have a sustainable and robust business, with team members who are committed, loyal and talented, and most of all, clients who are realising their dreams and goals, through their strong relationships with us.
